Time Machine

OK, so my mbp had some kind of seizure and it was rushed to the hospital at the University, where I have AppleCare Health Insurance.  When I was able to get it back and bring it home, it of course was not my computer anymore.  It had been wiped and just had basic stuff on it.  It was awful, like using the loaner.  My Dept IT guy, said “You did your Time Machine right?”…”Yeah.”…”Cool, bring it in, I’ve always wanted to do a full restore from Time Machine to see how it works.”  Just need the OS disk to boot, from Utilities got started and whala, My baby was back just as before, everything, bookmarks, software, widgets, everything.  What a wonderful program.  Of course I also have Mozy, but Time Machine worked incredibly well and extremely easy.  Someone needs to write such a program for PCs.  Seriously.  Should be standard on all computers.  And for those of you out there who still don’t have some kind of backup system or aren’t using what you have, tsk, tsk, it should be like brushing your teeth or hanging up your car keys.
